Sonora Behavioral Health is a 56 bed hospital dedicated to the treatment of behavioral health and chemical dependency issues affecting children, adolescents and adults. Sonora is the only hospital in Southern Arizona that focuses on the unique needs of children and adolescents, and is the provider of choice in Southern Arizona for many commercial health plans.
Sonora provides a safe, structured environment through the delivery of individual, group and family therapy and medication management. The individualized treatment programs for youth and adults are designed to provide medical detoxification from alcohol and/or drugs, and to treat acute psychiatric symptoms such as suicidal or homicidal thoughts.
Sonora provides an intensive outpatient chemical dependency treatment program for adults. This program is designed to address the emotional, psychological and social impact chemical dependency has on the individual and their family. The 12 week program consists of counseling and education for the patient and their family.
