Can Acadia Help Me with My Behavioral Health or Addiction Issues?

Mental health disorders, behavioral concerns, and substance abuse issues impact millions of people throughout the world. The symptoms that accompany mental health disorders can make functioning in daily life seem monumentally difficult. The effects of behavioral problems can reach far beyond the person and begin to affect those around him or her. The abuse of drugs and/or alcohol can wreak havoc on every aspect of a person’s existence. Relationships can be tainted, careers can falter, academic success can be hindered, and one’s physical health can be placed in jeopardy. The effects of these problems can be far-reaching and long-lasting, and it can be easy for individuals to fall into a state of despair as they work to overcome their trials.

When individuals are struggling with the presence of any of these challenges, they may feel helpless as to what they can do and they may feel as though there is nowhere that they can turn. Fortunately, however, neither of these beliefs is true. There is something that can be done. You are not alone. And help is available.

At Acadia Healthcare, we are devoted to helping individuals learn that their struggles do not define them. We recognize the insurmountable strife that individuals suffering from these concerns face, and we understand how devastating the effects of such can be on not only the individual, but on his or her family as well. For these reasons and more, we offer comprehensive care in varying levels of treatment throughout the United States, including Puerto Rico, and in the United Kingdom. With a steadfast dedication to providing patients and families with the tools needed to make positive and lasting change, the centers that make up Acadia Healthcare’s treatment network offer the life-changing and life-saving treatment that is necessary for discovering true and lasting healing.

Acadia’s commitment to offering clinically excellent and compassionate care begins before an individual even enters treatment. The intake teams at each of our treatment centers approach patients with the empathy that ensures that they realize that they are not alone in their struggles and that they have found a place where true healing can begin. Our staff members are available to answer any questions you may have and to guide you as you determine what level of treatment can best meet your needs.

Once the most appropriate level of care has been determined, all of Acadia’s treatment centers strive to make the process of admissions as simple and as streamlined as possible. During this time, the treatment interventions that may be used will be explained, any questions will be answered, and a general overview of what to expect while in treatment may be given.

Depending upon your specific needs, strengths, and treatment goals, the level of care that you engage in may vary. The options for care available include inpatient treatment, residential treatment, partial hospitalization programming, intensive outpatient programming, and traditional outpatient services. If you are battling chemical dependency concerns, medication assisted treatment is also available at various clinics throughout the country and Puerto Rico. Regardless of which level of care you enter, each step of the treatment process will be carried out by expertly-trained professionals who employ evidence-based therapeutic interventions that are designed to help elicit positive recovery.

Throughout your time in an Acadia Healthcare treatment program, you will work collaboratively with your treatment team in order to ensure that the interventions that are being implemented are working to successfully help you meet your treatment goals. You may engage in group therapy, individual therapy, family therapy, and a variety of experiential therapies and work with teams of professionals whose sole focus is to help you achieve success in overcoming the trials that you are facing.

Once one phase of treatment has come to an end, your treatment team will work with you to put a thorough aftercare plan into effect. Recognizing that recovery does not always end with the completion of one treatment program, we encourage continued healing through ongoing support. Whether this involves stepping down to a lower level of care, engaging in traditional outpatient services, or participating in support groups, the staff at each of our treatment centers will make sure that you have a plan in place so that you feel confident departing from your current treatment setting.

If you feel that you are in need of comprehensive care in order to overcome substance abuse issues, mental health concerns, or behavior problems, please do not hesitate to reach out to one of our treatment centers today. Our staff members are ready and willing to offer you the assistance that you need in determining what steps will be most beneficial in getting you the care that you need.

At Acadia Healthcare, we recognize the courage it takes to seek out treatment for mental health concerns, behavioral problems, and/or chemical dependency issues. We applaud you on your bravery and we make it our promise to help you resume living the healthy and happy life that you deserve to be living.
