Debbie K. Osteen, Chief Executive Officer
Debbie Osteen has served as the CEO of Acadia Healthcare since January 2026. Acadia is the largest stand-alone behavioral health company in the United States, operating a network of 250 behavioral healthcare facilities in 39 states and Puerto Rico. The company has approximately 23,000 employees serving more than 75,000 patients daily across 4 service lines.
A mission‑driven leader with more than 35 years of senior leadership experience in behavioral health, Ms. Osteen previously served as Acadia’s CEO from December 2018 to March 2022 and on the company’s Board of Directors until 2024. During her previous tenure as CEO, Ms. Osteen led the company through a period of significant progress and evolution, stewarding Acadia’s strategic vision and overseeing significant growth.
Prior to joining Acadia, Ms. Osteen served as Executive Vice President of Universal Health Services, Inc. (NYSE: UHS) and President of UHS’s behavioral health division for 19 years, where she led the division to become of the nation’s largest networks of freestanding behavioral health facilities.
As part of her commitment to the advancement of behavioral healthcare, Ms. Osteen has served as an executive committee member of the National Association for Behavioral Healthcare for more than 20 years, including two-terms as the President of its Board. She also served on the Executive Committee of the National Action Alliance for Suicide Prevention, a public-private partnership advancing the national strategy for suicide prevention. Ms. Osteen has been named multiple times among the “Top 25 Women in Healthcare” by Modern Healthcare magazine and was named to the Top 100 Executives in Healthcare in 2019, 2020, and 2021.
Brian Farley, Executive Vice President, General Counsel & Secretary
Brian Farley joined Acadia in July 2023 and serves as the General Counsel and Secretary. Mr. Farley oversees a team of attorneys responsible for all aspects of Acadia’s legal affairs and acts as a strategic advisor to Acadia’s executive team and the Board of Directors. In this role, his areas of responsibility include securities law, corporate governance, mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, litigation, labor and employment, legal compliance and regulatory matters.
Prior to joining Acadia, Mr. Farley served as Chief Legal Officer and Corporate Secretary for GoHealth, one of the nation’s largest publicly traded Medicare Advantage marketplace and senior-focused healthcare companies. In this role, he led the Company’s legal, regulatory, compliance, SEC, government affairs and cyber security functions while also overseeing the legal efforts to successfully launch its initial public offering in 2020. Prior to joining GoHealth, Mr. Farley held senior leadership positions at Allscripts, Motorola Mobility and Level 3 Communications.
David Duckworth, Interim Chief Financial Officer
David Duckworth has served as Interim Chief Financial Officer of Acadia Healthcare since May 2026, leading the corporate finance initiatives of the company, including the financial planning, analysis, accounting, reporting, tax, investor relations and audit functions. Mr. Duckworth previously served as Acadia’s Chief Financial Officer from August 2012 through July 2023. During this period, Acadia increased its revenue by ~$2B and sustained competitive margins.
Prior to joining Acadia, Mr. Duckworth served as Director of Finance at Emdeon Inc., a leading provider of revenue cycle solutions and clinical information exchange solutions from May 2010 to April 2011. He holds a master’s degree in accountancy and bachelor’s degree from the University of Tennessee.
