Council Bluffs Comprehensive Treatment Center
Located in Council Bluffs, Iowa, Council Bluffs Comprehensive Treatment Center (CTC) provides medication-assisted treatment (MAT) for adults age 18 and older who are struggling with opioid addictions, alcohol use disorder, and kratom abuse. MAT is an evidence-based method that combines the use of prescription medications with counseling services to promote recovery from addictions to heroin, prescription painkillers, and other opioids. Medications used in MAT, such as methadone, Suboxone®, naltrexone, buprenorphine, and Vivitrol, are FDA-approved, widely used, and highly effective. Individuals who are battling an addiction to alcohol can receive MAT, or they may choose to receive counseling services without taking medication.
