Striving to make the process of entering treatment as unintimidating as possible, Acadia Healthcare offers guidance and assistance as you take the first steps towards recovery from mental health concerns and addiction issues.
Recovery is Possible
Mental illness, behavioral health concerns, and addiction impact millions of people throughout the world. When someone is suffering from mental illness, their symptoms can make daily functioning difficult. The effects of behavioral problems can reach far beyond the person and begin to affect those around them. The use of drugs and/or alcohol can wreak havoc on every aspect of a person’s life. These challenges can taint relationships, compromise careers, hinder academic success, and place one’s physical health in jeopardy. The effects of these problems can be far-reaching and long-lasting, and it can be easy for individuals to fall into a state of despair as they work to overcome their trials.
When individuals are struggling with these types of challenges, they may feel helpless as to what they can do. They may also feel as though they have nowhere to turn. Fortunately, however, neither of these beliefs is true. Something can be done. You are not alone. Help is available.
At Acadia Healthcare, we are devoted to helping individuals understand that their struggles do not define them. We recognize the immense strife that living with these concerns can cause, and how the effects will not only negatively impact the individual, but their loved ones as well. The dedicated staff members at all of the treatment facilities within our network strive to ensure that those who seek our care will embrace their treatment experience and discover true recovery.
Acadia’s treatment facilities offer comprehensive care in varying levels throughout the United States and Puerto Rico. With a steadfast dedication to providing patients and families with the tools they need to make positive and lasting change, the facilities that make up Acadia Healthcare’s network offer life-changing treatment in a compassionate and supportive environment.
Our Commitment to You
Our commitment to offering clinically excellent care begins before you enter treatment. The intake teams at each of our treatment facilities approach patients with the empathy they need to realize that they are not alone in their struggles and that recovery is possible. Our staff members are available to answer any questions you may have and to guide you as you determine what level of treatment can best meet your needs.
All of Acadia’s treatment facilities aim to make the admissions process as simple and streamlined as possible. After determining the level of care that will be of most benefit to you, our staff will guide you through the next steps. They will explain the treatment interventions that may be used, give you a general overview of what you can expect while in treatment, and answer any questions you have.
Depending on your specific needs, strengths, and treatment goals, the level of care that you engage in will vary. The levels of care available at our various treatment facilities include inpatient treatment, residential treatment, partial hospitalization programming (PHP), intensive outpatient programming (IOP), and traditional outpatient services. If you are battling chemical dependency concerns, medication-assisted treatment is also available at various clinics throughout the country and Puerto Rico. Regardless of which level of care you enter, expertly trained professionals will carry out each step of the treatment process. Our multidisciplinary staff members use evidence-based therapeutic interventions that help people overcome addictions or learn to manage symptoms of mental illness.
What to Expect During Treatment
Throughout your time in treatment at an Acadia facility, you will work collaboratively with your treatment team in order to ensure that the interventions they use are helping you to successfully meet your treatment goals. You will have the opportunity to engage in a number of different therapeutic interventions, such as group therapy, individual therapy, family therapy, and a variety of experiential therapies. You will also work with teams of professionals whose sole focus is to help you achieve success in overcoming the trials that you are facing.
Once one phase of treatment has ended, your treatment team will work with you to put a thorough aftercare plan into place. Recognizing that recovery does not always end with the completion of one level of care, we encourage continued healing through ongoing support. Whether this involves stepping down to a lower level of care, engaging in traditional outpatient services, or participating in support groups, the staff at all of Acadia’s treatment facilities will make sure that you have a plan in place so that you feel comfortable leaving your current treatment setting.
