Please join us for a breakfast & discussion on Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) Therapy— a non-invasive, non-drug treatment for patients with Major Depressive Disorder who do not see satisfactory results from medication and psychotherapy. Medical Director Dr. Steven Spector will present on the mechanisms of action behind TMS, benefits and future uses of TMS, and answer questions. Breakfast will be served.
About TMS Therapy
Utilizing FDA-cleared, non-invasive devices, TMS Therapy treats depression with the application of magnetic stimulation to areas of the brain known to regulate mood. These areas are underactive in those diagnosed with depression. Treatment is in-office and non-sedating, so patients can go back to their usual schedule after treatment. TMS Therapy can be used in conjunction with medication or as a stand-alone depression treatment.
